CC Resolution No. 591 924 RESOLUTION NO. 591 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS , SETTING FORTH DESIRED PRIORITIES FOR CAPITAL IMPROVEMENTS WITHIN THE CITY LIMITS OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN AND IN THE BAYTOWN AREA. WHEREAS , Harris County Commissioners have scheduled a bond election in about eighteen (18) months to provide needed capital improvements; and WHEREAS , in order to formulate a county bond issue, the County Judge and Commissioners have requested that City of Baytown help determine what capital improvements should be included in that bond election ; and WHEREAS , this Council has assessed possible capital improvements to meet the needs of its growing community; and WHEREAS , the City Council now desires to submit certain projects, listed in order of priority, for consideration for inclusion in the bond program; NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS : Section 1 : That the City Council requests the County Judge and Commissioners to consider the following street and drainage improvement projects as the City' s desired list of priorities in the next county bond election : STREET IMPROVEMENTS I . Baker Road - Completion of two (2) westbound lanes from North Main to Decker Drive; II . North Main Street - make it a four (4) land road surface from Baker Road to Interstate 10 with curb and gutter between Baker Road and Lynchburg/Cedar Bayou Road; III . Lynchburg/Cedar Bayou Road - make it a four (4) lane road surface from Decker Drive to Cedar Bayou; IV. Bush Road - make it a four (4) lane road surface with storm sewers from Baker Road to Lynchburg/Cedar Bayou Road; V. Barkuloo Road - improve it from Massey Thompkins Road to Lynchburg/Cedar Bayou Road; 925 VI . Tri-Cities Beach Road - make it a four (4) lane road surface from East Texas Avenue to the Harris County line; and VII . Evergreen Road - improve it from Tri-Cities Beach Road to Causeway Road. DRAINAGE IMPROVEMENTS I . Extension of Harris County Flood Control Designation Q111-00-00. A project of the drainage study in the Marvin Road area; II . Extension of Harris County Flood Control District Designation Q103-00-00. Extend the Woodlawn ditch by storm sewer or with concrete lining from Danubina Street to Cedar Bayou; III . Extension of Harris County Flood Control Designation 0105-04-00. Extend the North Main Street ditch from Massey Thompkins Road to Lynchburg/Cedar Bayou Road; IV. Extension of Harris County Flood Control District Designation 0100-00-00. Implement the channel study recommendations for Goose Creek Stream; V. Extension of Harris County Flood Control Designation Q101-00-00. Provide an outfall for McKinney Road drainage by putting storm sewer and open ditch from near the West Main/South Main Street intersection to Pine Gully. VI . Extension of Harris County Flood Control Designation 0123-00-00. Provide an outfall ditch for the East Baytown Addition as outlined in the drainage study by constructing a ditch from Airhart Street to the Goose Creek Stream. VII . Extension of Harris County Flood Control Designation 0103-00-00. Install storm sewer from Memorial Drive to Goose Creek Stream; VIII . Harris County Flood Control Designation 0105-03-00. Provide an outfall for the Bob Smith Road project by installing concrete line from Inwood Street to the east fork of the Goose Creek Stream. Section 2 : This resolution becomes effective from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
