CC Resolution No. 564 838 RESOLUTION NO. 564 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS , DESIGNATING THE TARGET AREA AND PROPOSED USES FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS , the Federal Government has made Community Development Act funds available to Harris County' s Community Development Agency; and WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Baytown has entered into an interlocal agreement with the Community Development Agency to receive a share of said funds ; and WHEREAS , these funds are to be used in low and moderate income areas ; and WHEREAS, the citizens of Baytown , Texas, in open meetings have expressed their desire that the funding be used for projects including, street paving and storm sewers , pedestrian ways, and demolition of dilapidated structures ; NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS : Section 1 : That the City Council of the City of Baytown , Texas, designates the East Baytown , Busch Terrace, Central Heights, and Rio Vista Neighborhoods as the target area for the use of Community Development Act funds. Section 2 : That the City Council of the City of Baytown , Texas, authorizes that these funds as received be used in the approximate amounts indicated : 839 PROJECT ESTIMATED COST 1. Street and drainage improvements : Curb and gutter Ontario Street West Gulf Avenue West Humble Avenue Superior Street Texoma Street $150, 000 2. Rebuild Chesapeake Street (Curb and gutter) $ 45, 000 3. Drainage Improvements - Storm Sewer Atlantic Street : $94 , 000 West Humble Avenue $30, 000 $124 , 000 4. Drainage Improvements - Storm Sewer Airhart Drive : West Texas Avenue to Park Street $94, 000 Pedestrian Way $14 ,400 $108 ,400 5. Drainage Improvements : Cedar Street - Harbor to Airhart $ 59, 000 6. Drainage Improvements : Pine Street - Dayton to Market $ 45, 000 TOTAL $531 ,400 Section 3 : This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown , Texas.
