RESOLUTION NO. 552
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS , DESIGNATING THE TARGET AREA AND PROPOSED USES
FOR COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT ACT FUNDS AND PROVIDING FOR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS , the Federal Government has made Community
Development Act funds available to Harris County' s Community
Development Agency; and
WHEREAS , the City Council of the City of Baytown has
entered into an intergovernmental agreement with the Community
Development Agency to receive a proportionate share of said
funds; and
WHEREAS , these funds are to be used in low and moderate
income areas; and
WHEREAS , the citizens of Baytown, Texas, in open meetings
on February 19, 1976, and February 23 , 1976 , have expressed
their desire that the first years' funding be used for
projects including, street paving and storm sewers, pedestrian
ways, and demolition of dilapidated structures; NOW THEREFORE ,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN, TEXAS :
Section 1 : That the City Council of the City of Baytown ,
Texas, designates the Busch Terrace, Central Heights and Rio
Vista Neighborhoods as the target area for the use of Community
Development Act funds.
Section 2 : That the City Council of the City of Baytown,
Texas, authorizes that these funds as received be used in
the approximate amounts indicated:

Section 3 : This resolution shall take effect immediately
from and after its passage by the City Council of the City
of Baytown, Texas.
