CC Resolution No. 472 RESOLUTION NO. 472 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ADOPTING THE "COMPREHENSIVE DRAINAGE PLAN FOR METROPOLITAN BAYTOWN" PREPARED BY BERNARD JOHNSON INCORPORATED AS THE OFFICIAL DRAINAGE PLAN FOR THE CITY OF BAYTOWN. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas , by Ordinance No. 1147 duly adopted on December 20, 1971 did authorize the execution of a contract between Bernard Johnson Incorporated and the City of Baytown for a drainage study of Baytown and the adjoining area to be paid for jointly by the City of Baytown and Harris County; and WHEREAS, Bernard Johnson Incorporated has completed its survey of the 66 square mile study area bounded by Cedar Bayou on the east, Tabbs , Scott and Burnett Bays and the San Jacinto River on the south and west, and Highlands Reservoir and Barbers Hill Road on the north; and WHEREAS, the "Comprehensive Drainage Plan for Metropolitan Baytown" does provide a detailed plan of required improvements within the four principal water- sheds of the study area for the condition of ultimate watershed development; and WHEREAS, the plan relates an analysis of both the primary and the secondary drainage systems of the 66 square mile urbanized and projected urbanized area; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1 : That the City Council of the City of Baytown , Texas , hereby designates the "Comprehensive Drainage Plan for Metropolitan Baytown" prepared by Bernard Johnson, Inc. as the official drainage plan for the City of Baytown. Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
