CC Resolution No. 432 RESOLUTION NO. 432 WHEREAS, the untimely and unfortunate death of Woodrow W. Lewis on February 17, 1973, caused the City of Baytown to lose a valued and esteemed citizen; and WHEREAS, the said Woodrow W. Lewis faithfully served the City of Baytown as a leader in many worthwhile community projects , as well as a spokesman for the black citizenry; and WHEREAS, the said Woodrow W. Lewis was a diligent and conscientious member of the community whose services will be greatly missed and whose absence is already keenly felt; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Baytown to pay tribute to this fine departed citizen and leader; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN : Section 1 : That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby officially commemorates the late Woodrow W. Lewis for his dedication and efforts in the service of the community and expresses deep and sincere regret for his untimely death. Resolved, further, that a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to the family of Woodrow W. Lewis as a token of respect and sympathy. This resolution shall become effective from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
