CC Resolution No. 404 1 RESOLUTION NO. 404 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, OFFICIALLY DESIGNATING THE TRACT OF LAND ACQUIRED BY THE CITY FROM W. C. BRITTON, PERRY W. BRITTON, MONA B. PLUNK, NECY V. BRITTON, ESTATE, CECIL COBBLE, LEE BEARD WORLEY, NEHEMIAH ANDREW CRAVENS, ESTATE, AND MARY B. CRAVENS, ESTATE AS A PUBLIC PARK, AND OFFICIALLY DESIGNATING AND NAMING SUCH TRACT AS THE BAYLAND PARK. WHEREAS, by a deed delivered to the City conveying to the City land situated in the William Scott Upper League, Harris County, Texas , and being part of that same tract conveyed to W. C. Britton and N. A. Cravens by Orra Brown and husband, Bert Brown, Roger B. Isenhour, Dorothy May Foley and husband, John T. Foley, Fay Holland and husband, R. R. Holland, Fannie May Isenhour, a widow, Opan Isenhour, a widow, Ira Lindsay Isenhour, a single man, Orra Brown as agent and attorney in fact for Dorris K. Peterson, as reference by Harris County Clerk File No. 453542, Harris County, Texas ; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to officially dedicate such land for park purposes and desires to officially name said tract; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN: Section 1 : That the City Council hereby dedicates the tract acquired from W. C. BRITTON, PERRY W. BRITTON, MONA B. PLUNK,NECY V. BRITTON, ESTATE, CECIL COBBLE, LEE BEARD WORLEY, NEHEMIAH ANDREW CRAVENS, ESTATE, AND MARY B. CRAVENS, ESTATE for public park purposes. Section 2: That the City Council hereby officially designates and names the above tract of land as the BAYLAND PARK. Section 3: This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council .
