CC Resolution No. 402 RESOLUTION NO. 402 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN OFFICIALLY DEDICATING A 9.21 ACRE TRACT OF LAND ACQUIRED BY THE CITY FROM A. M. HOWELL AND 0. J. HOWELL AND A 6.30 ACRE TRACT OF LAND ACQUIRED FROM C.G.C. , INC. , AS A PUBLIC PARK, AND OFFICIALLY DESIGNATING AND NAMING SUCH TRACTS AS THE LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS PARK. WHEREAS, A. M. Howell and 0. J. Howell by deed conveyed to the City a 9.21 acre tract and C.G.C. , Inc. conveyed a 6.30 acre tract of land, both tracts situated in the Harvey Whiting Survey Abstract No. 840, Harris County, Texas ; and WHEREAS, the League of Women Voters are outstanding members of the community and have contributed much toward the improvement of the City of Baytown; and WHEREAS , the City Council now desires to officially dedicate such land, for Dark purposes , and to further express the graditude and appreciation of the community to the League of Women Voters by naming said tract of park land the LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS PARK: NOW THEREFORE , BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN , TEXAS: Section 1 : That the City Council hereby dedicates the tracts acquired from A. M. Howell , 0. J. Howell , and C.G.C. , Inc. and siutated in the Harvey Whiting Survey Abstract No. 840, Harris County, Texas , for public park purposes. Section 2: That the City Council hereby officially designates and names the above described tracts of land as the LEAGUE OF WOMEN VOTERS PARK. Section 3: This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council .
