A UNANIMOUS RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN FORMALLY RECOGNIZING AND THANKING TED KLOESEL
FOR HIS FOUR YEARS OF DEVOTED SERVICE AS COUNCILMAN FROM
DISTRICT NO. ONE; AND RECOGNIZING SOME OF THE ACCOMPLISH-
MENTS HE WAS%INSTRUMENTAL IN BRINGING ABOUT DURING HIS
TENURE OF OFFICE.
WHEREAS , Ted Kloesel served the City of Baytown as City Councilman
from District No. One for a period of four (4) years terminating on April
12, 1972; and
WHEREAS, during such time, the said Ted Kloesel has distinguished
himself in the performance of his duties as Councilman by his untiring efforts
on behalf of the City Council , the City Administration and the community at
large; and
WHEREAS, the said Ted Kloesel has been directly instrumental in the
accomplishment by the City of many achievements during such period including
the passage of 11 .6 Million Dollar Bonds Program which among other things
will provide and has provided funds for purchase by the City of major park
properties, as well as the development of same , provides for the improvement
of existing water and sewer facilities , and provides for major street im-
provements ; applied for Public Law 660 Grant; retirement benefits for City
Employees increased; annexation of additional territory; infiltration crew
began work on City sewer line; package sewer plant added to Craigmont 's
Sewage Treatment Plant; additional city personnel added in many departments ;
and
WHEREAS, during his terms of office he has represented the City in
the following capacity:
1 . Electrical Board;
2. Salary Study Committee;
3. Municipal Court Committee, Chairman ;
4. Expense Reimbursement Study Committee;
5. City Depository Guidelines Committee;
6. Annexation Committee;
7. Utility Committee;
8. Revenue Committee;
9. Landfill Study Committee;
10. Council Traffic Committee;
11 . Cedar Bayou Stream Study Committee;
12. Representative to the Harris County Community Action Agency; and
WHEREAS, during his terms of office the City has continued to grow and
prosper and be operated on a sound financial basis ; and
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown desires formally to
express its appreciation to Councilman Ted Kloesel for his many years of faithful
civic participation in the government of the City of Baytown; NOW THEREFORE ,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN :
THAT the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby officially recog-
nizes , thanks and commends the said, Ted Kloesel for his valuable services to
the City as Councilman from District No. One.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the unanimous vote of the members of
the City Council of the City of Baytown on this 20th day of June ,
1972.
