A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
AMENDING THE THOROUGHFARE PLAN OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
BY RELOCATION OF THE ALIGNMENT OF BAKER ROAD EASTWARD
FROM ITS INTERSECTION WITH NORTH MAIN STREET ALONG A
ROUTE ACROSS BARKALOO ROAD, CEDAR BAYOU-CROSBY ROAD,
RACCOON DRIVE AND CEDAR BAYOU TO A CONNECTION WITH RE-
LOCATED FARM ROAD 1405 at STATE HIGHWAY 146.
WHEREAS, the present Thoroughfare Plan of the City of Baytown
projects Baker Road to be a major East-West Thoroughfare; and
WHEREAS, by relocating the said Baker Road as presently
planned eastward from its intersection with North Main Street along a
route across Barkaloo Road, Cedar Bayou-Crosby Road, Raccon Drive and
Cedar Bayou to a connection with relocated Farm Road 1405 at State High-
way 146, the said Baker Road will coincide with a proposed Farm Road
System in Chambers County and provide a "loop" around the northern and
eastern side of the City of Baytown, and at the same time traverse un-
developed acreage rather than developed property; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN , TEXAS:
Section 1 : That the Thoroughfare Plan of the City of Baytown
shall be amended so that the alignment of Baker Road eastward from its
intersection with North Main Street be along a route across Barkaloo Road,
Cedar Bayou-Crosby Road, Raccoon Drive and Cedar Bayou to a connection
with relocated Farm Road 1405 at State Highway 146.
Section 2: This Resolution shall take effect from and after
its passage by a majority of the City Council of the City of Baytown.

of the City of Baytown, Texas , on this 2nd day of November 1971 .
