CC Resolution No. 356 RESOLUTION NO. 356 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING 0. M. COE, TAX ASSESSOR-COLLECTOR, TO PROCEED TO TAKE PROPOSALS FROM APPRAISERS AND TAX APPRAISAL FIRMS FOR THE APPRAISAL OF INDUSTRIAL AND INDUSTRIAL RELATED PROPERTIES. WHEREAS, the City of Baytown, Texas , does not have available among its files and records a list of the record owners of producing oil and gas properties , pipelines , gas lines and systems, refineries, petro- chemical plants, gasoline plants , tanks and tank farms, tankage, storage oil , carbon black plants , power and light plants , telephone and telegraph lines, railroads , supply houses, drilling rigs and derricks and all other industrial and manufacturing properties ; and WHEREAS, the appraisal of properties of the above mentioned type is a highly technical and scientific field; and WHEREAS, the Tax Department of the City of Baytown, Texas, does not have the expertees to compile a list of and appraise such properties ; and WHEREAS, the Tax Equalization Board of the City of Baytown, Texas, has recommended in its report to the City Council that a professional appraiser or appraisal firm be contracted to appraise all industrial property within the City of Baytown and its industrial districts; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1 : That 0. M. Coe, Tax Assessor-Collector for the City of Baytown, Texas , is hereby authorized to proceed to take proposals from appraisers and tax-appraisal firms for the appraisal of properties such as within the City of Baytown, Texas , and its industrial districts. Section 2: This resolution shall take effect from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
