CC Resolution No. 295 RESOLUTION NO. 295 WHEREAS, the untimely and unfortunate death of Mr. Wallace Doucet on September 1 , 1970, caused the City of Baytown to lose a valued and esteemed employee, as well as a fine citizen; and WHEREAS, the said Wallace Doucet faithfully served the City of Baytown as its employee from and after the effective date of the annexation by the City of Baytown of Harris County Water Control & Improvement District No. 8, with whom he had been employed since June 13, 1953; and WHEREAS, the said Wallace Doucet was a diligent and conscientious employee whose services will be greatly missed and whose absence is already keenly felt by his fellow employees and associates ; and WHEREAS, it is the desire of the City Council of the City of Baytown to pay tribute to this fine departed employee and citizen; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby officially commemorates the late Wallace Doucet for his dedication and efforts in the service of his employment with the City, and expresses deep and sincere regret for his untimely and tragic death. Resolved, further, that a certified copy of this resolution be forwarded to Mr. Doucet's family as a token of respect and sympathy. This resolution shall become effective from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas . INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, on this 24th day of September, 1970.
