OFFICIALLY THANKING THE W. C. BRITTON FA:'ILY FOR THEIR CONTRIBUTION OF
FIVE THOUSAND ($5,000.00) DOLLARS TO T-HE CI" Y OF BAYTOTA'N FOR THE PUR-
POSE OF PROVIDING DECORATIVE ILLL'MTNATION FOR THE ^^.ALL BETWEEN THE NEW
BAYTOWN CITY HALL AND CIVIC CENTER; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING TIHLH MAYOR
AND CITY CLERK TO EXECUTE COPIES OF THIS RESOLUTION AND DIRECTING THE
CITY :i;NAGER TO FORWARD CERTIFIED COPI:-> OF SAME TO THE W. C. BRITTON
FAMILY.
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown's new City Pall and Civic Center are
located adiacent to one another and 'he City is in the process of constructing a
mall to connect the two buildings; and
'WHEREAS, the W. C. Britton Family has contributed Five Thousand
($5,000.00) Dollars for the purpose of providing decorative illumination for the
mall; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to officially thank the W. C. Britton
family for their thoughtfulness and generosity in the contribution of Five Thousand
($5,000.00) Dollars for the decorative illumination of the mall; NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the W. C. Britton Family is hereby officially thanked
for their Five Thousand ($5,000.00) Dollar contribution to the City of Baytown
[Or rhC purpose of decorative illumination of the mall connecting the Baytown: CILy
Hall and Civic Center.
Section 2: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute this resolution and the City `:::eager is directed to present a
certified copy of same to the W. C. Britton Family.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the members of the
City Council of the City of Baytown on this the llth day of January, 1968.
