AN UNANIMOUS RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
OFFICIALLY RECOGNIZING AND THANKING COUNTY COMMISSIONER V. V. "RED"
RAMSEY AND T. R. LANGFORD, ENGINEER FOR THE HARRIS COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL
DISTRICT, FOR ASSISTING THE CITY OF BAYTOWN IN ITS IMPROVEMENT OF NORTH
MAIN STREET; AUTHORIZING AND DIRECTING THE MAYOR AND CITY CLERK TO
EXECUTE COPIES OF THIS RESOLUTION AND DIRECTING THE CITY MANAGER TO FOR-
WARD CERTIFIED COPIES OF SAME TO COUNTY COMMISSIONER V. V. "RED" RAMSEY
AND T. R. LANGFORD, ENGINEER FOR THE HARRIS COUNTY FLOOD CONTROL DISTRICT.
WHEREAS, the entire City of Baytown is located in Harris County
Commissioners ' Precinct No. 2; and
WHEREAS, such precinct has been ably served by Mr. V. V. "Red" Ramsey
for fourteen (14)years; and
WHEREAS, said Commissioner has assisted and co-operated with Baytown
on many projects; and
WHEREAS, the City has also received splendid assistance and co-operation
from the Harris County Flood Control District in general andfrom the engineer for
such district, T. R. Langford, in particular; and
WHEREAS, the City Council wishes to officially thank said Commissioner
V. V. "Red" Ramsey and T. R. Langford, Engineer for Harris County Flood Control
District for their assistance in another project; NOW, THEREFORE:
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That County Commissioner V. V. "Red" Ramsey and T. R. Langford,
Engineer for Harris County Flood Control District, are hereby officially thanked
for their assistance and co-operation in working with the City of Baytown in general,
and, in particular, in assisting the City of Baytown in obtaining right-of-way
along North Main Street and installing storm sewers along said street.
Section 2: That the Mayor and City Clerk are hereby authorized and
directed to execute this resolution and the City Manager is directed to present a
certified copy of same to County Commissioner V. V. "Red" Ramsey and T. R. Langford,
Engineer for Harris County Flood Control District.
INTRODUCED, READ AND PASSED by the affirmative vote of the members of the
City Council of the City of Baytown on this the 22nd day of June, A.D. , 1967.
