CC Resolution No. 2676RESOLUTION NO. 2676 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT THREE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT BLOCK GRANT MITIGATION GRANT APPLICATIONS TO THE TEXAS GENERAL LAND OFFICE FOR THE 2017 HURRICANE HARVEY STATE MITIGATION COMPETITION ROUND 1 FOR INFRASTRUCTURE IMPROVEMENTS IN THE DANUBINA AREA, WEST BAYTOWN AREA AND THE EAST DISTRICT WASTEWATER TREATMENT PLANT REHABILITATION PHASE 2; DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE; AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ************************************************************************************ BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to submit three Community Development Block Grant Mitigation Grant applications to the Texas General Land Office for the 2017 Hurricane Harvey State Mitigation Competition Round 1 not to exceed ONE HUNDRED MILLION AND NO �100 DOLLARS ($100,000,000.00) for infrastructure improvements in the Danubina Area, West Baytown Area and the East District Wastewater Treatment Plant Rehabilitation Phase 2. Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative forall purposes under these grants. Section 3: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any grant award that may result from the above applications.
