CC Resolution No. 2213 - AcceptGrantRESOLUTION NO. 2213 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO ACCEPT A GRANT FROM THE TEXAS PARKS AND WILDLIFE DEPARTMENT FROM THE TEXAS RECREATIONAL TRAILS FUND FOR APPROXIMATELY ONE MILE OF NEW DECOMPOSED GRANITE TRAILS THROUGH THE INTERIOR OF THE BAYTOWN NATURE CENTER IN THE AMOUNT OF SEVENTY -ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($71,550.00); AUTHORIZING AN IN -KIND MATCH IN THE AMOUNT OF FOURTEEN THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED TEN AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($14,310.00); AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO TAKE FURTHER ACTION TO SECURE THE GRANT; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ww>k aw*** �+* t+* s�******+* a* ��** rs**+ r* rr»► ww+ rwr***+**.r. .x��w * * *► *�x+ *r *�w��s «� *� * +>ks* BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby authorizes the City Manager to accept a grant from the Texas Parks and Wildlife Department from the Texas Recreational Trails Fund for approximately one mile of new decomposed granite trails through the interior of the Baytown Nature Center in the amount of SEVENTY -ONE THOUSAND FIVE HUNDRED FIFTY AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($71,550.00). Section 2: That pursuant to the terms of the grant referenced in Section 1 hereof, the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes an in -kind match in the amount of FOURTEEN THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED TEN AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($14,310.00) for the above - referenced project. Section 3: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to take further action to secure the grant. Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
