A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
GRANTING THE PETITION OF CHEVRON PHILLIPS CHEMICAL FOR
DISANNEXATION OF A PORTION OF ITS PROPERTY LOCATED AT THE
NORTHEAST CORNER OF I-10 AND SJOLANDER ROAD, HARRIS COUNTY,
TEXAS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

WHEREAS, the City of Baytown has received a petition filed by Chevron Phillips Chemical for
disannexation of a portion of their property that is located at the northeast corner of 1-10 and Sjolander
Road, Harris County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on this date, the City Council heard the petition and the arguments for and against
the disannexation and desires to grant the petition; NOW T14EREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby grants the petition
of Chevron Phillips Chemical for disannexation of a portion of their property that is located at the
northeast corner of I-10 and Sjolander Road, Harris County, Texas. Said petition is attached hereto as
Exhibit "A," and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately f and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.

concerning the property subject to this disannexation petition pursuant to its past Industrial District
Agreements with the City of Baytown. As such Owner(s) hereby covenants and agrees that it is
not entitled to any refund pursuant to Section 43.148 of the Texas Local Government Code and
will make no claim for the same for tax years through 2012. Owner(s) Intends for this assertion
and waiver to be binding upon Owner(s) and to be relied upon by the City of Baytown in consider
the grant of this petition.
All references to Owner(s) shall include and be binding upon its respective successors and
assigns.
