A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND THE EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
COORDINATOR TO MAKE APPLICATIONS TO THE TEXAS DEPARTMENT OF
PUBLIC SAFETY FOR THE FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY'S
EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT PERFORMANCE GRANT FOR FISCAL YEAR
2012 AND SUBSEQUENT YEARS; AUTHORIZING SUCH PERSONS TO ACCEPT
OR AFFIRM ANY FUNDS, GRANTS AND/OR REIMBURSEMENTS THAT MAY
RESULT THEREFROM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
THEREOF.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager and the Emergency Management Coordinator of the City
of Baytown are hereby authorized to make applications to the Texas Department of Public Safety for the
Federal Emergency Management Agency's Emergency Management Performance Grant for Fiscal Year
2012 and subsequent years; provided no monetary or in -kind match is required by the City.
Section 2: That the City Manager or, in his absence, the Emergency Management
Coordinator is hereby designated as the authorized representative for all purposes under any resulting
funding, grant and/or reimbursement.
Section 3: That the City Manager or, in his absence, the Emergency Management
Coordinator is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any resulting funding, grant and/or reimbursement
that may result from the above registrations and/or applications.
Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately
