A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE
FEDERAL EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT AGENCY FOR A 2012 COMMUNITY
RESILIENCE INNOVATION CHALLENGE GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF THIRTY
THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($30,000.00) TO FUND ENHANCEMENTS
TO THE COMMUNITY EMERGENCY RESPONSE TEAM (CERT) TRAINING
PROGRAM; DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE;
AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT
AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section l: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make
application to the Federal Emergency Management Agency in the amount of THIRTY THOUSAND
AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($30,000.00) for enhancements to the Community Emergency Response Team
(CERT) Training Program.
Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for
all purposes under the grant.
Section 3: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to accept or
affirm any grant award that may result from the above application.
Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
