A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE U. S.
DEPARTMENT OF HOMELAND SECURITY FOR A FY2012 PORT SECURITY
GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF FORTY-EIGHT THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED
FIFTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($48,750.00) FOR THE PURCHASE OF A MULTI -
MISSION BOAT FOR USE BY THE CITY'S PUBLIC SAFETY AGENCIES: POLICE,
FIRE, HEALTH AND EMS; AUTHORIZING A CASH MATCH IN AN AMOUNT
NOT TO EXCEED SIXTEEN THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY AND NO/100
DOLLARS ($16,250.00); AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR
AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make
application to the U. S. Department of Homeland Security for a FY2012 Port Security Grant in the
amount of FORTY-EIGHT THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED FIFTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS
($48,750.00) for the purchase of a multi -mission boat for use by the City's Public Safety Agencies: Police,
Fire, Health and EMS.
Section 2: That pursuant to the terms of the grant referenced in Section 1 hereof, the City
Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes a cash match in an amount not to exceed SIXTEEN
THOUSAND TWO HUNDRED FIFTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($16,250.00).
Section 3: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for
all purposes under the grant.
Section 4: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to accept or
affirm any grant award that may result from the above application.
Section 5: This resolution shall take effect immediately
