CC Resolution No. 2162 - Cycle17CoastalManagementProgram RESOLUTION NO. 2162 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE GENERAL LAND OFFICE OF THE STATE OF TEXAS FOR CYCLE #17 OF THE COASTAL MANAGEMENT PROGRAM FOR THE REMOVAL OF DEBRIS FROM DAMAGED OIL DERRICKS, SERVICE DOCKS, AND PIERS LOCATED IN TABBS BAY IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED EIGHTY-ONE THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($81,000.00); AUTHORIZING A CASH MATCH IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO EXCEED FIFTY-FOUR THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($54,000.00); DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE; AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section l: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make application to the General Land Office of the State of Texas for Cycle #17 of the Coastal Management Program ("CMP") for the removal of debris from damaged oil derricks, service docks,and piers located in Tabbs Bay in an amount not to exceed EIGHTY-ONE THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($81,000.00). Section 2: That pursuant to the terms of the Coastal Management Program Grant, the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes a cash match in an amount not to exceed FIFTY-FOUR THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($54,000.00). Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for all purposes under the grant. Section 3: That the City Manager is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any grant award that may result from this application. Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
