A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS,GRANTING THE AUTHORITY TO THE CHIEF BUILDING OFFICIAL
TO ALLOW A SINGLE SIX-MONTH EXTENSION FOR THE TEMPORARY
STRUCTURE PERMIT FOR A RECREATIONAL VEHICLE AT 201 YAUPON,
BAYTOWN,HARRIS COUNTY,TEXAS;AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS,on September 11,2008.the Chief Building Official issued a temporary structure
permit for the placement of a recreational vehicle at 201 Yaupon,Baytown,Harris County,Texas;
and
WHEREAS,such permit had a term of six months from the date of the declaration of a state
of emergency,which was September 14,2008:and
WHEREAS,such permit could have been extended for an additional six months if the chief
building official determined that circumstances are such that the safe and efficient reconstruction of
damaged properties warrant the extension of the permit period;and
WHEREAS,an additional extension may be authorized by the City Council should the City
Manager determine that further time extensions beyond the 12 calendar months already granted are
warranted;and
WHEREAS.the City Manager has made such determination for the above-referenced
temporary structure permit:and
WHEREAS,pursuant to Section 22-104,the City Manager has requested that the City
Council adopt a resolution granting the authorityto the Chief Building Official to allow a single six-
month extension for the above-referenced temporary structure permit based upon the Chief Building
Official's assessment that the permit holder is unable to complete the reconstruction set forth under
the permit due to circumstances beyond the permit holder's control:NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1:That all matters and facts set forth in the recitals above are found to be true and
correct.
Section 2:That the City Council of the City of Baytown,Texas,hereby grants the
authority to the Chief Building Official to allow a single six-month extension for the temporary
structure permit for the recreational vehicle at 201 Yaupon.Baytown.Harris County,Texas,based
upon the Chief Building Official's assessment that the permit holder is unable to complete the
reconstruction set forth under the permit due to circumstances beyond the permit holder's control.
Section 3:This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
