TEXAS: Section 1:That the facts contained in the preamble of this resolution are determined to be true and correct and are hereby adopted as part of this resolution. Section 2:The City Council of the City of Baytown,Texas.supports the creation. introduction and passage of legislation that will amend Chapter 351 of the Texas Tax Code to allow cities in the State of Texas to collect hotel/motel occupancy taxes for usages such as building.maintaining and improving recreational facilities of the City and for the funding of City fire.medical and police protection agencies.
