A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER AND `I EMERGENCY MANAGEMENT
COORDINATOR TO REGISTER WITH AND MAKE APPLICATIONS TO THE
STATE AND FEDERAL GOVERNMENTS FOR FUNDING, GRANTS AND
REIMBURSEMENTS RELATED TO OR ARISING OUT OF HURRICANE IKE,
FEMA 3294-EM AND FEMA 1791-DR DECLARATIONS; AUTHORIZING SUCH
PERSONS TO ACCEP-r OR AFFIRM ANY FUNDS, GRANTS AND/OR
REIMBURSEMENTS THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND PROVIDING FOR
THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOI-
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF T14E CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager and the Emergency Management Coordinator of[lie City
or Baytown are hereby authorized to register with and make applications to the State and Federal
Governments for funding, grants and reimbursements related to or arising out of Hurricane Ike, FEMA
3294-EM and FEMA 1791-DR declarations.
Section 2: That the city Manager or, in his absence, the Emergency Management
Coordinator is hereby designated as the authorized representative for all purposes under any resulting
funding, grant and/or reimbursement.
Section 3: That the City Manager or, in his absence, the Emergency Management
Coordinator is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any resulting funding, grant and/or reimbursement
that may result from the above registrations and/or applications.
Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
