RESOLUTION NO. 1855
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE INTERIM CITY MANAGER TO MAKE
APPLICATION TO THE DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR A 2007 GRANT FOR
THE HIGH INTENSITY DRUG TRAFFICKING AREA PROJECT IN THE
AMOUNT OF NINE HUNDRED THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FIVE AND
NO/100 DOLLARS ($900,105.00); DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED
REPRESENTATIVE; AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT
OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM;AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1: That the Interim City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to
make application to the Department of Justice for a 2007 grant for the High Intensity Drug
Trafficking Area Project in the amount of NINE HUNDRED THOUSAND ONE HUNDRED FIVE
AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($900,105.00).
Section 2: That the Interim City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized
representative for all purposes under the grant.
Section 3: That the Interim City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to
accept or affirm any grant award that may result from the above application.
Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
