RESOLUTION NO. 1734
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, APPROVING THE REDESIGN OF THE STREET LAYOUT OF
TEXAS AVENUE AS PROPOSED BY TRAFFIC ENGINEERS, INC., WHICH
INCLUDES THE RE-STRIPING OF TEXAS AVENUE TO REMOVE THE
CURVED ROADWAY DESIGN AND TO ALLOW FOR 22.5 DEGREE
ANGLED PARKING ON BOTH SIDES OF THE STREET; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby approves the
redesign of the street layout of Texas Avenue as proposed by Traffic Engineers, Inc., which
includes the re-striping of Texas Avenue to remove the curved roadway design and to allow for
22.5 degree angled parking on both sides of the street.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by
the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED, by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the
City of Baytown this the 11th day of August, 2005.
