CC Resolution No. 1727 48 RESOLUTION NO. 1727 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE OFFICE OF DOMESTIC PREPAREDNESS FOR A STAFFING FOR ADEQUATE FIRE AND EMERGENCY RESPONSE GRANT IN THE AMOUNT OF THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($300,000.00) FOR THE BAYTOWN FIRE DEPARTMENT; DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE; AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AUTHORIZING THE CITY'S INCREASING MATCHES THROUGHOUT THE FIVE YEAR TERM;AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. +*t**e**er**+►x*****tt+***s*►r****�*r**s**a**rr*rw*r**x**t***rasa*r**rr*►r>k*�x**t BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make application to the Office of Domestic Preparedness for a Staffing for Adequate Fire and Emergency Response Grant in the amount of THREE HUNDRED THOUSAND AND 00/100 DOLLARS ($300,000.00) for the Baytown Fire Department. Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for all purposes under the grants. Section 3: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any grant awards that may result from the above applications. Section 4: That the City Council hereby authorizes the City's matches based upon the amount of the grant awarded as follows: Year Cit 's Match 1 $31,361.00 2 $43,361.00 3 $79,361.00 4 $103,361.00 5 $139,361.00 Section 5: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
