RESOLUTION NO. 1715
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE
DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE FOR A 2005 GRANT FOR THE HIGH INTENSITY
DRUG TRAFFICKING AREA PROJECT IN THE AMOUNT OF NINE HUNDRED
NINE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY-ONE AND NO/100 DOLLARS
($909,471.00); DESIGNATING AN AUTHORIZED REPRESENTATIVE;
AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT
AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to make
application to the Department of Justice for a 2005 grant for the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area
Project in the amount of NINE HUNDRED NINE THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SEVENTY-ONE
AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($909,471.00).
Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for
all purposes under the grant.
Section 3: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to accept or
affirm any grant award that may result from the above applications.
Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED, by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of
