RESOLUTION NO. 1667
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, GRANTING THE PETITION OF BRAZOS RIVER NORTH SOUTH,
LTD., CONCERNING THE ANNEXATION OF A 2.7 ACRE TRACT OF
LAND IN THE JACOB ARMSTRONG SURVEY, ABSTRACT 2, CHAMBERS
COUNTY, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Section 43.028 of the Texas Local Government Code provides for the
annexation of certain sparsely populated property upon the written petition of the owners of the
property and all persons or entities with an interest therein; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown has received such a petition filed by Brazos River
North South, Ltd., for the annexation of a 2.7 acre tract of land in the Jacob Armstrong Survey,
Abstract 2, Chambers County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on this date, the City Council heard the petition and the arguments for and
against the annexation and desires to grant the petition;NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby grants the
petition of Brazos River North South, Ltd., concerning the annexation of a 2.7 acre tract of land
in the Jacob Armstrong Survey, Abstract 2, Chambers County, Texas. Said petition is attached
hereto as Exhibit "A," and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by
the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED, by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the
City of Baytown this the 12th day of August, 2004.

FIELD NOTES OF A TRACT OF LAND CONTAINING 2.70 ACRES SITUATED IN
THE JACOB ARMSTRONG SURVEY, ABSTRACT 2, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS
AND BEING PART OF A CALLED 3.72 ACRE TRACT CONVEYED TO
CLARENCE W. LEAVINS, ET UX RECORDED BY DEED IN VOLUME 579, PAGE
516 OF THE DEED RECORDED OF CHAMBERS COUNTY, TEXAS. SAID 2.70
ACRES BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES AND BOUNDS
AS FOLLOWS:
BEGINNING at a 5/8" iron rod, found, being the southeast comer of a tract of land
conveyed to Walter Hoover, Et A] recorded by deed in Volume 567, Page 185 of the
Official Public records of said county, the northeast comer of said 3.72 acres, an angle
corner in the west line of a 60.888 acre tract of land known as Tract 1 conveyed to David
Kajar, Trustee recorded by deed in Volume 457, Page 315 of the Deed Records of said
county and for the northeast corner of the herein described tract;
THENCE, S 08°39'48" W, along the east line of said 3.72 acres and the west line of said
60.888 acres, a distance of 75.49 feet to a 5/8" iron rod, found, being an angle corner in
the west line of said 60.888 acres, the southeast comer of said 3.72 acres and for the
southeast corner of the herein described tract;
THENCE, S 77°53'35" W, along the south line of said 3.72 acres and an exterior line of
said 60.888 acres, a distance of 1667.92 feet to a point in the existing city limits line of
the City of Baytown and for the southwest corner of the herein described tract;
THENCE, N 11°00'42" E, over and across said 3.72 acres along the existing city limits
line of the City of Baytown, a distance of 76.74 feet to a point in the south line of said
Hoover Tract,the north line of said 3.72 acres and for the northwest corner of the herein
described tract;
THENCE, N 77°53'35" E, along the south line of said Hoover Tract and the north line
of said 3.72 acres, a distance of 1664.56 feet to the "Point of Beginning" and containing
2.90 acres of land more or less.
