RESOLUTION NO. 1652
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, GRANTING THE PETITION OF BRAZOS RIVER NORTH SOUTH
LTD. CONCERNING THE ANNEXATION OF 22.55 ACRES LOCATED
EAST OF STATE HIGHWAY 146 IN THE JACOB ARMSTRONG SURVEY,
CHAMBERS COUNTY, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Section 43.028 of the Texas Local Government Code provides for the
annexation of certain sparsely populated property upon the written petition of the owners of the
property and all persons or entities with an interest therein; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown has received such a petition filed by Brazos River
North South Ltd. for the annexation of 22.55 acres located east of State Highway 146 in the
Jacob Armstrong Survey, Chambers County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on this date, the City Council heard the petition and the arguments for and
against the annexation and desires to grant the petition; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby grants the
petition of Brazos River North South Ltd. concerning the annexation of 22.55 acres located east
of State Highway 146 in the Jacob Armstrong Survey, Chambers County, Texas. Said petition is
attached hereto as Exhibit "A," and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by
the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED, by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the
City of Baytown this the 27th day of May, 2004.

THE JACOB ARMSTRONG SURVEY, ABSTRACT 2, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS
AND BEING OUT OF A 38.45 ACRE TRACT OF LAND CONVEYED TO
WALETER HOOVER, ET AL RECORDED BY DEED IN VOLUME 567, PAGE 185
OF THE OFFICIAL PROPERTY RECORDS OF CHAMBERS COUNTY, TEXAS.
SAID 22.55 ACRES BEING MORE PARTICULARLY DESCRIBED BY METES
AND BOUNDS AS FOLLOWS:
COMMENCING from a concrete monument, found, in the east right-of-way line of
State Highway 146, the northeast corner of said 38.45 acre tract; THENCE,N 76`52'15"
E, along the north line of said 38.45 acre tract, a distance of 617.00 feet to a point in the
existing city limits line of the City of Baytown, Texas, and for the northwest corner and
"Point of Beginning" of the herein described tract;
THENCE, N 76°52'15" E, along the north line of said 38.45 acre tract a distance of
95.77 feet to a 3/4" iron rod, found, being an angle corner in the west line of said 38.45
acres, for an angle corner in the north line of the herein described tract;

a 3/4" capped 'iron rod, found, being an angle comer in the west line of said 38.45 acres,
for an angle corner in the north line of the herein described tract;
THENCE, N 77052'42" E, along an interior line of said 60.888 acres, a distance of
1089.21 feet (called N 77°53'35" E— 1089.11') to a 5/8" iron rod, found, being an angle
comer in the west line of said 60.888 acres and for the northeast corner of the herein
described tract;
THENCE, S 1201 I'l3" E, along an interior line of said 60.888 acres, a distance of
556.66 feet (called S 12°06'25" W — 557.06') to a 5/8" iron rod, found, being an angle
comer in the west line of said 60.888 acres, the northeast comer of a 3.72 acre tract of

feet to a point in the existing city limits line of the City of Baytown, Texas, and for the
