RESOLUTION NO. 1604
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, GRANTING THE PETITION OF BAYOU DEVELOPMENT, LLC
CONCERNING THE ANNEXATION OF A 6.639 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN
THE JACOB ARMSTRONG SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 2, CHAMBERS
COUNTY, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE
THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Section 43.028 of the Texas Local Government Code provides for the
annexation of certain sparsely populated property upon the written petition of the owners of the
property and all persons or entities with an interest therein; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown has received such a petition filed by Bayou
Development, LLC for the annexation of a 6.639 acre tract of land in the Jacob Armstrong
Survey, Abstract No. 2, Chambers County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on this date, the City Council heard the petition and the arguments for and
against the annexation and desires to grant the petition; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby grants the
petition of Bayou Development, LLC concerning the annexation of a 6.639 acre tract of land in
the Jacob Armstrong Survey, Abstract No. 2, Chambers County, Texas. Said petition is attached
hereto as Exhibit "A," and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by
the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED, by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the
City of Baytown this the 251h day of September, 2003.

PROPOSED ANNEXATION DESCRIPTION
6.639 ACRES
Being a 6.639 acre annexation tract of land situated in the Jacob Armstrong Survey,
Abstract No. 2,Chambers County,Texas,and being a portion of the remainder of a
called 12.44 acre tract,"Second Tract"as partitioned to Ruth Donnelly Fitzgerald by
partition deed dated December 4, 1957 and recorded in Volume 195 Page 483 of the
Deed Records of Chambers County,Texas,and being a portion a called 10.783 acre tract
as described in deed from Terry W.Moore and Donna Moore to Kevin Stinson and
Thomas M. Street,d.b.a.Sierra Development Group and recorded in Volume 487 Page
619 of the Official Public Records of Chambers County,Texas,and being more
particularly described by metes and bounds as follows;
COMMENING at a point for the northwest corner of the said called 10.783 acre tract,
said point being on the easterly line of State Highway 146;
THENCE N 78029'46"E,along the north line of the said called 10.783 acre tract,a
distance of 574.15 feet to the point on the existing City of Baytown City Limit Line,for
the northwest corner and POINT OF BEGINNING of the herein described tract;
THENCE N 78029'46"E,continuing along the north line of the said called 10.783 acre
tract,a distance of 885.13 feet to a point for the northeast corner of the said called 10.783
acre tract;

easterly line the City of Baytown City Limit Line,for the southwest comer of the herein
described tract;
THENCE Northerly,along the existing City of Baytown City Limit Line,along a curve
to the right,having a radius of 5169.58 feet,a central angle of 03°57'26",an are length of
357.05 feet,and a chord bearing and distance of N 17029'17 E,a distance of 356.98 feet,
to the POINT OF BEGINNING,containing a calculated area of 6.639 acres of land.
