RESOLUTION NO. 1532
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, GRANTING THE PETITION OF MOHAMED AZIZ MOMIN
CONCERNING THE ANNEXATION OF A 1.384 ACRE TRACT OF LAND
OUT OF A 20.971 ACRE TRACT OF LAND IN THE GEORGE ELLIS
LEAGUE, ABSTRACT 21, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS; AND PROVIDING
FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Section 43.028 of the Texas Local Government Code provides for the
annexation of certain sparsely populated property upon the written petition of the owner of the
property and all persons or entities with an interest therein; and
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown has received such a petition filed by Mohamed Aziz
Momin for the annexation of a 1.384 acre tract of land out of a 20.971 acre tract of land in the
George Ellis League, Abstract 21, Harris County, Texas; and
WHEREAS, on this date, the City Council heard the petition and the arguments for and
against the annexation and desires to grant the petition; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby grants the
petition of Mohamed Aziz Momin concerning the annexation of a 1.384 acre tract of land out of
a 20.971 acre tract of land in the George Ellis League, Abstract 21, Harris County, Texas. Said
petition is attached hereto as Exhibit"A," and incorporated herein for all intents and purposes.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by
the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED, by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the
City of Baytown this the 281h day of February, 2002.

LEGAL DESCRIMON OF A 1.394 ACRE
TRACT OUT OF A 20.971 ACRE TRACT
OF LAND IN THE GEORGE ELLIS
LEAGUE,A-21, HARRIS COUNTY,TEXAS
A tract of land containing 1.394 acres of land out of a 20,971 acre tract in Lot 5 of a subdivision of the
George Ellis League, Abstract nn. 21, Harris County,Texas. Said 20.971 acre tract being described in the
deed dated July 1, 1987 from Nathaniel H. C:onder to Vona Charleita Conder recorded in File No. L330579
of the Official Records in the Office of the County Clerk of Harris County. Said 1.384 acre tract being more
particularly described as follows:
COMMENCING at a '/: inch iron rod found at the Northwest corner of the above described 20.971 acre
tract and being on the East right-of-way of Garth Road. 80 feet wide;THENCE South 08 degrees 29 minutes
16 sacnnds East with the said East line of Garth Road and the West line of the aforesaid 20.971 acre tract for
a distance of 475.00 feet to a 5/8 inch iron rod set in said line for the Northwest comer and PLACE OF
BEGINNING of the 1.384 acre tract herein described;
THENCE North 80 degrees 15 minutes 19 seconds East for a distance of 335.16 feet to a 'Vs inch iron rod
found at the Northwest comer of a 0.9711 acre tract described as Tract 2 in the Special Warranty Deed from
Vona Charleita Condcr to B B G Realty,loc. recorded in Harris County Clerk's File No. P621307, Said
corner also being an inner corner of a 11.495 acre tract;
THENCE South OR degrees 29 minutes 16 seconds East with the West line of said 0.9711 acre tract and the
most Southerly East line of said 11.495 acre tract for a distance of 179.97 feet to a '/z inch iron rod found at
the Southwest comer of said 0.9711 acre tract for the Southeast comer of the 1.394 acre tract herein
described and a Southeast corner of said 11.495 acre troy; Said comer being on the North line of a Cracker
Harrel Old Country Store, IneO.R677 acre tract recorded in Harris County Clerk's Fig No. P212031;
THENCE South 80 degrees 15 minutes 19 seconds West with the North fine of said 0.9677 acre tract and a
South line of the aforesaid 11.495 acre tract.for a dislartce of 335.16 feet to a 518 inch iron rod found at the
Northwest corner of said 0.8677 acre tract and the Southwest comer of said 11.495 acre tract on the east
right-of-way of Garth Road;
THENCE North OR degrees 29 minutes 19 seconds West with the West fine of acid 11.495 aerc tract and the
Fast line of Garth Road for a distance of 179.97 feet to the PLACE OF BEGINNING and containing 1d 94
acres, or 60, 304 square feet, according to a survey that was made on the ground in October of 2001 under
