RESOLUTION NO. 1494
A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
ESTABLISHING CRITERIA FOR ELIGIBILITY FOR APPOINTMENT OF THE
DIRECTORS OF THE BAYTOWN MUNICIPAL DEVELOPMENT DISTRICT; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS:
Section l: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby establishes the
following as its criteria for eligibility for appointment of the directors of the Baytown Municipal
Development District:
l. A director must be a resident of the City of Baytown.
2. An employee, officer or member of the governing body of the City of Baytown may
serve as a director, but may not have a personal interest in a contract executed by the
district other than as an employee, officer or member of the governing body of the City of
Baytown.
3. A director must fully comply with Chapter 171 of the Texas Local Government Code,
governing conflicts of interests of local governmental officials.
4. It is preferred that a director have experience in economic development issues, real estate
and/or business practices.
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of
Baytown this the 14"'day of June, 2001.
