CC Resolution No. 1488 2788 RESOLUTION NO. 1488 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, SUPPORTING THE EXPANSION APPLICATION OF APPROXIMATELY 200 ACRES AS A FOREIGN TRADE ZONE SUBZONE DESIGNATION FOR HOME DEPOT, INC., BY THE PORT OF HOUSTON AUTHORITY; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, on September 28, 2000, the City Council passed Resolution No. 1456, supporting a Foreign Trade Zone (FTZ) subzone designation for Home Depot, Inc., (formerly known as Project Superior)by the Port of Houston Authority; and WHEREAS, Home Depot, Inc., has requested to expand the FTZ subzone from 50 acres to a total of 200 acres to provide for future demand without a time delay and the cost of another consultant; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby supports the expansion application of approximately 200 acres as a Foreign Trade Zone subzone designation for Home Depot, Inc. Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas.
