CC Resolution No. 1446 2724 RESOLUTION NO. 1446 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AMENDING RESOLUTION NO. 1430, ENACTED ON MARCH 9, 2000, REGARDING THE JUVENILE ACCOUNTABILITY INCENTIVE BLOCK GRANT PROGRAM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, on March 9, 2000, the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, approved via Resolution No. 1430 the application to the State of Texas, Office of the Governor, Criminal Justice Division for a grant for the Juvenile Accountability Incentive Block Grant Program; and WHEREAS, the City Council desires to amend Resolution No. 1430 to ensure that the City of Baytown will reimburse the Criminal Justice Division in the event of loss or misuse of the funds; NOW THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby amends Resolution No. 1430, enacted on March 9, 2000, by adding Section 3 (a) to read as follows: Section 3 (a): The City Council of the City of Baytown has agreed that in the event of loss or misuse of the Criminal Justice Division funds, the City of Baytown assures that the funds will be returned to the Criminal Justice Division in full. Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas.
