CC Resolution No. 13872633 RESOLUTION NO. 1387 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, REQUESTING THE SHERIFF, TO SELL CERTAIN PROPERTIES AT A PUBLIC SALE PURSUANT TO SECTION 34.05(C) OF THE TEXAS TAX CODE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Baytown desires to return deteriorated or unproductive properties to the tax rolls, to enhance the value of ownership to the properties neighboring those which have been bid off to the City of Baytown in tax foreclosure sales, and to improve the safety and quality of life throughout the City; and WHEREAS, in light of such goals, the City Council finds that it is in the best interest of the City of Baytown to sell via public sale the following properties: Property No. 1: Property Address: Legal Description: Number and Style of Suit: Date of Tax Foreclosure Sale Property No. 2: Property Address: Legal Description: Number and Style of Suit: Date of Tax Foreclosure Sale: Property No. 3: Property Address Legal Description: Number and Style of Suit: Date of Tax Foreclosure Sale: Property No. 4: Property Address: Legal Description: Number and Style of Suit: Date of Tax Foreclosure Sale: 411 N. WHEREAS, the City acknowledges that at such public sale, the acceptance of a bid by the officer conducting the sale is conclusive and binding on the question of its sufficiency; and WHEREAS, the right of redemption on each of the Properties has expired more than six months prior to the date of this resolution; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the findings of the City Council of the City of Baytown contained in the recitals of this resolution are hereby approved and adopted. Section 2: That pursuant to Section 34.05(c) of the Texas Tax Code, the City Council of the City of Baytown requests the Sheriff to sell the Properties at a public sale in the manner prescribed by the Rules of Civil Procedure for the sale of property under execution. Section 3: That the City Manager is hereby authorized and directed to submit this resolution to the Sheriff and to receive any bid accepted by the officer conducting the public sale of the Properties. Section 4: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
