A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN, TEXAS, TO ACCEPT AN INCREASED GRANT AWARD FROM
THE OFFICE OF NATIONAL DRUG CONTROL POLICY IN CONJUNCTION
WITH THE HIGH INTENSITY DRUG TRAFFICKING AREA PROJECT; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City of Baytown received a grant award from the Office of National Drug
Control Policy ("ONDCP") in the amount of$283,882.00 for the project period January 1, 1997,
through December 31, 1997; and
WHEREAS, additional grant funds have become available and awarded to support the
Administration and Operational Support Initiative in the Houston High Intensity Drug Trafficking
Area Project("HIDTA"); THEREFORE
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to accept
additional funding from the Office of National Drug Control Policy in conjunction with the High
Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Project in the amount of SEVENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND
TWENTY SEVEN AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($77,027.00).
Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by
the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED, by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the
