CC Resolution No. 1315 2526 RESOLUTION NO . 1315 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING THE PROGRAM LIMITS FOR THE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT HOUSING REHABILITATION AND NEW CONSTRUCTION PROGRAMS AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. *�*•a**••.a**�*�*•s•<a+**r****.*rs.*r**++*********s**+*s**ss**s*s****��•rs**rs�***ss*.•****.r**+ WHEREAS,the Housing and Community Development Act of 1974 provides funds for cities to rehabilitate current housing stock for low to moderate income homeowners; and WHEREAS,the City of Baytown has applied and received grant monies from the United States Department of Housing and Urban Development to cover the cost of demolitions, repairs and improvements necessary to make residential structures within the City of Baytown conform to applicable codes,thus providing decent, safe and sanitary housing accommodations for qualified persons; and WHEREAS, the City Council, desiring to effectively and efficiently manage the grant monies designated for the rehabilitation and conservation of the older housing stock located within the City while ensuring all necessary repairs are made to the structures rehabilitated or constructed pursuant to the City's Housing Rehabilitation or New Construction Programs,hereby finds that a maximum amount allocated to each project should be established;NOW THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby establishes that the maximum funds which may be expended for a rehabilitation project performed pursuant to the Community Development Housing Rehabilitation Program shall be TWENTY-THREE THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS($23,000.00)and that the maximum funds which may be expended for a reconstruction project pursuant to the Community Development New Construction Program shall be TWENTY-SEVEN THOUSAND AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($27,000). Section 2: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas.
