RESOLUTION 140. 1203
A RESOLUTION AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER OF THE CITY OF
BAYTOWN, TEXAS, TO MAKE APPLICATION TO THE
HOUSTON-GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL FOR THE FIRST YEAR OF
FUNDING OF THE 7TH GRADE D.A.R.E. (DRUG ABUSE RESISTANCE
EDUCATION) PROGRAM; TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD
THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is
hereby authorized to make application to the Houston-Galveston Area
Council for a grant for the first year of funding of the 7th Grade
D.A.R.E. (Drug Abuse Resistance Education) Program in the amount of
ONE HUNDRED SIX THOUSAND THREE HUNDRED TWENTY-TWO AND N0/100
DOLLARS ($106, 322 . 00) .
Section 2 : That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is
hereby authorized to accept or affirm any grant award that may
result from the above application.
Section 3 : This resolution shall take effect immediately from
and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED, by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown this the 13th day of January,
1994 .
