RESOLUTION NO. 1164
A RESOLUTION NAMING THE CONFERENCE ROOM OF THE BAYTOWN
CITY HALL, THE DON M. HULLUM CONFERENCE ROOM; AND
PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Don M. Hullum faithfully served the City of Baytown
as councilman for district 3 from 1966 until 1972 and again as
councilman for district 4 from January 31, 1992 until his election
as councilman for district 5 in May of 1992; and
WHEREAS, Don M. Hullum dedicated much of his life to this
community, and demonstrated in many practical ways his deep and
genuine love for this City; and
WHEREAS, Don M. Hullum served the City of Baytown with
distinction, demonstrating always his willingness to place his
concern for the public good ahead of his personal interests; and
WHEREAS, throughout his life, Don M. Hullum earned the respect
of other civic leaders and the affection of a host of people who
are proud to call him "friend"; and
WHEREAS, Don M. Hullum continued to serve the City of Baytown
as councilman for District 5 until his untimely death on September
29, 1992; NOW THEREFORE,
BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN
TEXAS:
Section 1. That the conference room of the Baytown City Hall
is hereby named for Don M. Hullum. An appropriate sign denoting
this designation shall be obtained for the conference room.
Section 2 . This resolution shall take effect immediately from
and after its passage by the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ, AND PASSED, by the affirmative vote of the
City Council of the City of Baytown, this the 28th day of January,
1993 .
