Ordinance No. 14,396ORDINANCE NO. 14,396 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, ESTABLISHING SUNDAY FUN DAYS AT THE BAYTOWN NATURE CENTER DURING THE MONTHS OF JUNE AND JULY OF 2020; AUTHORIZING THE WAIVER OF ENTRANCE FEES THEREFOR; PROVIDING A REPEALING CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ******************************************************************************************** WHEREAS, the City Council would like to show its citizens its appreciation for all they have done in helping curb the Coronavirus; and WHEREAS, to this end, Sunday Fun Days are designed to build morale and generate a sense of community while still maintaining social distancing and other good hygiene practices as recommended by the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention; and WHEREAS, during these special days, Council encourages citizens to enjoy all that the Baytown Nature Center has to offer; NOW THEREFORE, BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown, Texas, hereby establishes Sunday Fun Days at the Baytown Nature Center from noon to 4:00 p.m. during the months of June and July of 2020, and authorizes the waiver of entrance fees therefor. Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are hereby repealed; provided, however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency. In all other respects, this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
