CC Resolution No. 2650RESOLUTION NO. 2650 A RESOLUTION OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE CITY MANAGER TO SUBMIT A GRANT APPLICATION TO THE U.S. DEPARTMENT OF JUSTICE, OFFICE OF JUSTICE PROGRAMS, BUREAU OF JUSTICE ASSISTANCE, FOR THE FY 2020 CORONAVIRUS EMERGENCY SUPPLEMENTAL FUNDING PROGRAM SOLICITATION IN THE AMOUNT OF SIXTY-THREE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN AND NO.100 DOLLARS ($63,737.00); AUTHORIZING THE REPRESENTATIVE TO ACCEPT OR AFFIRM ANY GRANT AWARD THAT MAY RESULT THEREFROM; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. ************************************************************************************* BE IT RESOLVED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to submit a grant application to the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance, for the FY 2020 Coronavirus Emergency Supplemental Funding Program Solicitation, in the amount of SIXTY-THREE THOUSAND SEVEN HUNDRED THIRTY-SEVEN AND NO./100 DOLLARS ($63,737.00). Section 2: That the City Manager is hereby designated as the authorized representative for all purposes under the grant. Section 3: That the City Manager of the City of Baytown is hereby authorized to accept or affirm any grant award that may result from the above application. Section 4: That in the event of loss or misuse of the grant funds, the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby assures the U.S. Department of Justice, Office of Justice Programs, Bureau of Justice Assistance that such grant funds will be returned in full. Section 5: This resolution shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
