WHEREAS,Section 17(1)of the Charter of theCity of Baytown provides thattheCityCouncilshall redistricttheCityifthe growth of theCity justifies;and WHEREAS,itis necessary toincludethenewly annexed territory described hereininaCouncilDistrict; NOW THEREFORE BEIT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,TEXAS: Section 1:CouncilDistrictNo.4isherebyredislrictedbythe addition of thatpropertywhichis describedinExhibit"A,"whichis attached heretoand incorporated hereinforallintentsandpurposes. Section2:All ordinances orpartsof ordinances inconsistent with thetermsofthis ordinance are hereby repealed;provided however,that such repeal shall be only tothe extent of such inconsistency andinall other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter coveredbythis ordinance. Section 3:Ifany provisions,section,exception,subsection,paragraph,sentence,clause or phrase of this ordinance orthe application of same toany person orsetof circumstances,shall for any reason be held unconstitutional,voidor invalid,such invalidity shall not affect thevalidity of theremaining provisions ofthis ordinance ortheir application toother persons orsetsof circumstances andtothisendall provisions of thi- ordinance are declared to be severable. is Section4:Thisordinanceshalltakeeffect from andafterten (10)daysfromitspassagebytheCity Council.TheCityClerkis hereby directed to give notice hereofby causing the caption ofthis ordinance tobe published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10)days after passage of this ordinance.
