Ordinance No. 11,396ORDINANCE NO. 11,396 AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF ONE HUNDRED FORTY -SEVEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTY -SIX AND 59/100 DOLLARS ($1=17.836.59) TO HALLMARK OFFICE PRODUCTS. INC.. THROUGH THE STATE COMPTROLLER OF PUBLIC ACCOUNTS' TEXAS MULTIPLE A WARD SCHEDULE ( TXMAS) FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF FURNITURE FOR THE CITY HALL EXPANSION: MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO_; AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. WFLEREAS, the City of Baytown. as a member of the Texas CO -OP Purchasing Program. may use the Texas Multiple Award Schedule as an alternate purchasing method satisfying the City's competitive bidding obligations: and Wf IEREAS. the purchase and installation of furniture may be aMluired by the City,_ as a member of the Texas CO -OP Purchasing Program, through the Texas Multiple Award Schedule; NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN. TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the payment of ONE HUNDRED FORTY -SEVEN THOUSAND EIGHT HUNDRED THIRTY -SIX AND 59/100 DOLLARS ($147,836.59) to Hallmark Office Products. Inc.. through the State Comptroller of Public Accounts' Texas Multiple Award Schedule for the purchase and installation of furniture for the City Hall Expansion. Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated §252,048. the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of TWENTY -FIVE THOUSAND AND NO/] 00 DOLLARS ($25.000.00) or less, provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than twenty-five percent (25 %) or decreased by more than twenty-five percent (25 %) without the consent of the contractor to such decrease. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
