Ordinance No. 11,390ORDINANCE NO. 11.390 AN ORDINANCE OF TI lE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYfOWN, TEXAS, AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF SIXTY -SIX THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY AND NO/100 DOLLARS ($66,970.00) TO INDUSTRIAL AUDIO /VIDEO. INC., THROUGH THE HARRIS COUNTY DEPARTMENT OF EDUCATION PURCHASING COOPERATIVE FOR THE PURCHASE AND INSTALLATION OF AN AUDIOVISUAL SYSTEM IN THE NEW TRAINING AND CONFERENCE ROOMS FOR THE HOUSTON HIGH INTENSITY DRUG TRAFFICKING AREA; MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO: AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF. V4'I IEREAS. the City Council of the City of Baytown has approved an Interlocal Agreement which authorizes the Harris County Department of Education Purchasing Cooperative to take bids for certain items on behalf of the City of Baytown: and WHEREAS. pursuant to such agreement. the Harris County Department of Education Purchasing Cooperative has taken bids for the purchase and installation of an audioMsual system in the new training and conference rooms for the Houston High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area: NOW THEREFORE BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS: Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the payment of SIXTY -SIX THOUSAND NINE HUNDRED SEVENTY AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($66,970.00) to Industrial Audio/Video, Inc., through the Harris County Department of Education Purchasing Cooperative for the purchase and installation of an audiovisual system in the new training and conference rooms for the Houston High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area. Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated §252.048. the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a decrease or an increase in costs of TWENTY -FIVE THOUSAND AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($25.000.00) or less, provided that the original contract price may, not be increased by more than twenty -live percent (25 %) or decreased by more than twenty -five percent (25 %) without the consent of the contractor to such decrease. Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately h-om and after its passage by the City Council of the City of Baytown.
