AN ORDINANCE OF TI IE• CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE PAYMENT OF TWO HUNDRED FORTY -SIX THOUSAND
THREE HUNDRED FOUR AND 15 /100 DOLLARS ($246.304.10 TO PHILPOTT
MOTORS, LTD.. THROUGH THE HOUSTON- GALVESTON AREA COUNCIL FOR
THE PURCHASE OF SIX (6) 2010 FORD POLICE INTERCEPTORS. THREE (3) 2010
FORD F-150 SUPERCAB PICKUPS, AND TWO (2) 2010 FORD EXPEDITIONS:
MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO: AND PROVIDING FOR THE
EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, the City Council of the City of Bmlown has approved an Interlocal Agreement which
authorizes the Houston - Galveston Area Council to take bids for certain items on behalf ofthe Cite of Baytown:
and
WHEREAS, pursuant to such agreement, the Houston - Galveston Area Council has taken bids for six
(6) 2010 Ford Police Interceptors, three (3) 2010 Ford F -150 Supercab Pickups, and two (2) 2010 Ford
Expeditions; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the payment of T11'O
IIUNDRFD FORTY -SIX THOUSAND THREE I IUNDRED FOUR AND 15 1100 DOLLARS ($246.304.10
to I'hilpott Motors. Ltd.. through the I Iouston- Galveston Area Council for the purchase of six (6) 2010 Ford
Police Interceptors. three (3) 2010 Ford F -1 50 Supercab Pickups, and two (2) 2010 Ford Expeditions.
Section 2: That pursuant to the provisions of Texas Local Government Code Annotated
§22.048, the City Manager is hereby granted general authority to approve any change order involving a
decrease or an increase in costs of TWENTY -FIVE THOUSAND AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($2.000.00) or
less. provided that the original contract price may not be increased by more than twenty -five percent (25 %) or
decreased by more than twenty -five percent (25%) without the consent of the contractor to such decrease.
Section 3: This ordinance shall take effect immediately fi-om and after its passage by the City
Council of the City of Baytown.
