Dear Mr. Renteria,
Upon reviewing the Camera Survey that was performed on 5/12/08 it revealed that once the
scale bad been cleaned from the surface of the steel pipe that the obstruction originally seen by
the previous camera survey was actually a buckling of the casing it was also revealed that
there is a hole is in the mill slot screen section of the well. We then sent a copy of the Camera
Survey to a company in California that specializes in swaging and patching of subsidence
breaks and holes in water wells. We have been told that these areas of the well can be repaired.
We are recommending that the break at a depth of 279' be swaged to the original inside
diameter of the casing and chert patched. The hole at a depth of 389' should be patched to stop
any sand intrusion in to the well caused by having an open hole in the screened area of the
well. This will keep the well from having to be relined with a smaller screen and liner that will
cut the water production of the water well. The costs for these services are as follows:
Materials and labor to perform
the swaging and patching $29,000.00
Rig time 20 hrs Q 5350.00 per hour $7000.00
Perform one Camera Survey to check the
placement of the patches2 0QO-O
Total estimated costs 538,000.00
Thank you for the opportunity to offer you our services as we wait for your response.
