AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS, ADDING A 28.79-ACRE (1,253,950 SQUARE FEET) TRACT OF
LAND IN THE NATHANIEL LYNCH SURVEY, ABSTRACT NO. 44,
HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, AND BEING THE SAME CALLED 28.809
ACRE TRACT AS FOUND IN DEED TO ROBERT A. EASLEY JR., FROM
L. L. GREGORY, JR., RECORDED IN HARRIS COUNTY CLERK'S FILE NO.
U606092 OF THE OFFICIAL PUBLIC RECORDS OF REAL PROPERTY OF
HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, TO COUNCIL DISTRICT NO. 3; REPEALING
ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH; CONTAINING A SAVINGS
CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE
DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Section 17(1) of the Charter of the City of Baytown provides that the City
Council shall redistrict the City if the growth of the City justifies; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to include the newly annexed territory described herein in a
Council District; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN,
TEXAS:
Section 1: Council District No. 3 is hereby redistricted by the addition of that
property which is described in Exhibit "A," which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for
all intents and purposes.
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this
ordinance are hereby repealed; provided however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of
such inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other
ordinances regulating and governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance.
Section 3: If any provisions, section, exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence,
clause or phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of
circumstances, shall for any reason be held unconstitutional, void or invalid, such invalidity shall
not affect the validity of the remaining provisions of this ordinance or their application to other
persons or sets of circumstances and to this end all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be
severable.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days from its
passage by the City Council. The Interim City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by
causing the caption of this ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of
Baytown at least twice within ten (10) days after passage of this ordinance.

Tangency;
North 81*04'55" West, 128.38 feet to set 3/8 inch iron rod with Land Tech cap marking
the south east corner of a called 0.979 acre tract described in deed to Sun Development,
Inc., as found in H.C.C.F. No. P963224, and the most southerly southwesterly corner of
the herein described tract;
THENCE North 09W21" West, along the east line of said 0.979 acre tract and the west line of
said 28.809 acre tract, a distance of 185.64 feet to a set 3/8 inch iron rod with Land Tech cap for
the northeast comer of said 0.979 acre tract and an internal comer of the herein described tract;
THENCE North 81*04'54" West, along the north line of said 0.979 acre tract and the south line
of said 28.809 acre tract, a distance of 238.69 feet to a set 3/8 inch iron rod with Land Tech cap
in the easterly right of way of Crosby-Lynchburg Road (width varies) for the northwest comer of
said 0.979 acre tract and the most westerly southwest comer of the herein described tract;
THENCE North 16*43*34" East, along the east right of way line of Crosby-Lynchburg Road and
the west line of the said 28.809 acre tract, a distance of 197.58 feet to the POINT OF
BEGINNING and containing 28.79 acres (1,253,950 square feet) of land.
All bearings are referenced to the Texas Coordinate System of 1983, South Central Zone (NAD
83). All distances are surface and may be converted to grid using a scale factor of 0.99989813.
