AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
ADDING A 1,000-FOOT STRIP OF LAND ADJACENT TO THE EAST RIGHT-OF-
WAY OF N. MAIN STREET OUT OF TRACTS 3K, 3J, 3A, 3H AND 8E, ABSTRACT
21 OF THE G. ELLIS SURVEY, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, TO COUNCIL
DISTRICT NO. 4; REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT HEREWITH;
CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE PUBLICATION
AND EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
WHEREAS, Section 17(1) of the Charter of the City of Baytown provides that the City Council
shall redistrict the City if the growth of the City justifies; and
WHEREAS, it is necessary to include the newly annexed territory described herein in a Council
District; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: Council District No. 4 is hereby redistricted by the addition of that property
which is described in Exhibit "A," which is attached hereto and incorporated herein for all intents and
purposes.
Section 2: All ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this
ordinance are hereby repealed; provided however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such
inconsistency and in all other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating
and governing the subject matter covered by this ordinance.
Section 3: If any provisions, section, exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of circumstances, shall for any
reason be held unconstitutional, void or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the
remaining provisions of this ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to
this end all provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect from and after ten (10) days from its passage by
the City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this
ordinance to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown^f least twice within ten (10)
days after passage of this ordinance.

1000'STRIP on N. MAIN
BEGINNING at the point of intersection of the East right-of-way of N. Main Street with
the Southwest corner of a 4.825 acre tract known as Tract 3K of the George Ellis Survey,
Abstract No. 21. Said point also being the Northwest Corner of Tract 3B of the George
Ellis Survey, Abstract No. 21, in the incorporated limits of the City of Baytown, Texas,
THENCE, in a Northerly direction along the East right-of-way of N. Main Street the
entire distance of the West property line of Tracts 3K, 3J, 3A, 3H, and 8E of the George
Ellis Survey, Abstract No. 21, to a point. Said point also being the Northwest corner of
said Tract 8E,
THENCE, in an Easterly direction along the North property line of said Tract 8E a
distance of 1000 feet to a point,
THENCE, in a Southerly direction, 1000 feet from and parallel to the East right-of-way
of N. Main Street, the entire distance across said Tracts 8E, 3H, 3A, 3J and 3K to a point
in the South property line of said Tract 3K,
THENCE, in a Westerly direction along the South property line of said Tract 3K a
distance of 1000 feet to the POINT OF BEGINNING and containing 14.003 acres
(610,000 square feet) more or less.
