® AN ORDINANCE OF THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS,
AUTHORIZING THE CONTINUED EMPLOYMENT OF TWO INDIVIDUALS
PREVIOUSLY ASSIGNED TO THE HARRIS COUNTY ORGANIZED CRIME AND
NARCOTICS TASK FORCE IN ORDER TO ANALYZE REPORTS AND RECORDS
OF SUCH TASK FORCE TO BRING THE SAME INTO COMPLIANCE WITH THE
RECORDS RETENTION POLICIES OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN AND THE
STATE OF TEXAS; AUTHORIZING PAYMENT IN AN AMOUNT NOT TO
EXCEED SIXTY -EIGHT THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIX AND 01 /100
DOLLARS ($68,406.01); MAKING OTHER PROVISIONS RELATED THERETO;
AND PROVIDING FOR THE EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: That the City Council of the City of Baytown hereby authorizes the continued
employment of two individuals previously assigned to the Harris County Organized Crime and Narcotics
Task Force ( "H000NTF ") in order to analyze reports and records of HCOCNTF to bring the same into
compliance with the records retention policies of the City of Baytown and the State of Texas.
Section 2: That the City Council of the City of Baytown authorizes payment in an amount
not to exceed SIXTY -EIGHT THOUSAND FOUR HUNDRED SIX AND 01 /100 DOLLARS
($68,406.01) for the records retention services authorized in Section l hereof.
Section 3: That in addition to the amount specified in Section 2 hereof, the City Manager is
hereby granted general authority to approve a decrease or an increase in costs by TWENTY -FIVE
THOUSAND AND NO /100 DOLLARS ($25,000.00) or less, provided that the amount authorized in
Section 2 hereof may not be increased by more than twenty -five percent (25 %).
Section 4: This ordinance shall take effect immediately from and after its passage by the
City Council of the City of Baytown.
INTRODUCED, READ and PASSED by the affirmative vote of the City Council of the City of
