ADDING 8.3957 ACRES OF LAND IN THE ED T. SCHAFFER SURVEY (W.C. & R.R.),
ABSTRACT 1224, A PART OF LOTS 1 1 AND 12, BLOCK 21, HIGHLAND FARMS
ADDITION, AND A PART OF LOTS 14,15 AND 16, BLOCK 7, EAST END ADDITION
TO HIGHLAND FARMS, HARRIS COUNTY, TEXAS, LOCATED EAST OF
LYNCHBURG -CEDAR BAYOU ROAD AND SOUTH ROAD IN HARRIS COUNTY,
TEXAS, TO COUNCIL DISTRICT NO. 4; REPEALING ORDINANCES INCONSISTENT
HEREWITH; CONTAINING A SAVINGS CLAUSE; AND PROVIDING FOR THE
PUBLICATION AND EFFECTIVE DATE THEREOF.

WHEREAS, Section 17(1) of the Charter of the City of Baytown provides that I O
redistrict the City if the growth of the City justifies; and

WHEREAS, it is necessary to include the newly annexed territory described herein in a Council
District; NOW THEREFORE
BE IT ORDAINED BY THE CITY COUNCIL OF THE CITY OF BAYTOWN, TEXAS:
Section 1: Council District No. 4 is hereby redistricted by the addition of certain property which
is described on the attached Exhibit "A."
Section 2: Al I ordinances or parts of ordinances inconsistent with the terms of this ordinance are
hereby repealed; provided however, that such repeal shall be only to the extent of such inconsistency and in
all other respects this ordinance shall be cumulative of other ordinances regulating and governing the subject
matter covered by this ordinance.
Section 3: If any provisions, section, exception, subsection, paragraph, sentence, clause or
phrase of this ordinance or the application of same to any person or set of circumstances, shall for any reason
be held unconstitutional, void or invalid, such invalidity shall not affect the validity of the remaining
provisions of this ordinance or their application to other persons or sets of circumstances and to this end al I
provisions of this ordinance are declared to be severable.
Section 4: This ordinance shal I take effect from and after ten (10) days from its passage by the
City Council. The City Clerk is hereby directed to give notice hereof by causing the caption of this ordinance
to be published in the official newspaper of the City of Baytown at least twice within ten (10) days after
passage of this ordinance.

THENCE: North 78 109'04" East along the North line of said 18.00 acres for a distance of 40.00
feet to a 5/8 inch iron rod found for an angle point in said line.
THENCE: North 50 °56'05" East along °amend line of POINT aOF BEGINNING of this tract. Said
224.90 feet to a point for the Southwest corner
point being in the existing Corporate Limits of the City of Baytown, Texas.

feet to a point in the centerline of a 60 feet .vide easement conveyed to Harris County Flood
